Brockencote Hall Hotel

Internal Lobby AreaGreswolde teams worked around the clock for weeks to make sure that the historic Worcestershire country manor Brockencote Hall Hotel was open for business on time during a refurbishment project.

The tight deadlines to complete major structural alterations and finish the impressive rooms to a very high standard were achieved on time.

“We are very pleased with Greswolde, who worked through the nights and weekends to complete all the work within the three-week deadline set for Phase One of the refurbishment ,” says Project Manager Andy Garner of AJG Property Consultancy.

“As this is a refurbishment of such an old building it has thrown up a few surprises along the way, but Greswolde’s work-force took it all in their stride.”

Internal Lobby 2The project included work to create cloakroom facilities, relocate the bar and refurbish all the public areas, including the conservatory and dining room.

Phase Two refurbishing ten bedrooms over 12 weeks and Phase Three refurbishing 11 bedrooms in the double storey eighties extension The West Wing.

“We have had some great feedback from guests already and Greswolde is continuing to do a great job, keeping the hotel fully operational during the rest of the refurbishment by working very closely with the hotel and its staff,” Andy adds.

Internal Dining RoomGreswolde Managing Director Malcolm Priest said the team and Site Manager Gary Kefford deserved special praise.

“It was extremely hard work and long days, from 5am through till around 2am seven days a week, as once we started work we discovered additional major work like rewiring, fire alarms and emergency lighting also needed to be carried out,” he explains.
