A prominent former office block is being turned into very des res homes in sought after village Hampton-in-Arden.

Greswolde is already on site at the eye-catching E-shaped Hampton Court for Hatton Garden Properties £3 million project, which will create 24 stylish apartments together with nine new homes on the transformed old car park.

London-based developed John Ives has worked with leading local estate agents Hunters’ New Homes division to ensure the provision is just right for the Midlands market.  Hampton Court’s setting – in the heart of a pretty rural village close to Solihull, Birmingham Airport, the newly relaunched Grand Central Station, the NEC and all the second city attractions – make it a prime location for buyers.

“We think the homes will be hot property for young professionals and people wanting to down-size stylishly,” predicts John, who engaged Greswolde on recommendation.

“The building had been largely empty for a number of years and was ripe for development into a provision that will also enhance the area in an aspirational village.”

The site, next to the London to Birmingham railway line, looks out onto open farmland.

“It’s a nice looking building and will be a lovely development,” says Greswolde Contracts Manager Jason Taplin.

There will be one, two or three bedroom apartments, most with balconies or patio areas on the ground floor, with two or three bedroomed homes nearby.  The larger homes will have master suites into the roof.

Cardiff-based Boyes Rees Architects’ Graham David has made a feature of the ‘80s building’s arched windows and some of its grand entrances.

“The original building has some nice features, particularly the curved top full height windows, designed, I think, to mirror Victorian railway building architecture.  The development will be a cul de sac, which should foster a nice community atmosphere.”

Hunters’ New Homes Director Julie Hyde confirms the apartments will be first on sale, early next year. “Hampton Court, situated in the heart of Hampton-in-Arden, is an exciting new scheme.

“I am delighted to be working with John Ives on behalf of Hatton Garden Properties, along with a leading local company Greswolde Construction.”
